CC0 1.0 Universal: public domain All metadata on Dancebook, such as track details, dancekey tags, cut information and catalog links, is Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal content: it is dedicated to the public domain, and anyone may copy, change, share and use it, for any purpose, without asking permission or giving credit.

This covers Dancebook's metadata only, not the website's software, design or logo, nor the third-party software and data listed under Attributions, which keep their own licenses.

Chromaprint

Dancebook identifies recordings by their audio fingerprints. Its fingerprint decoder is a port of the fingerprint decompressor from Chromaprint, Copyright © 2010–2016 Lukáš Lalinský. Chromaprint's own source code is licensed under the MIT License; because Chromaprint includes parts of the FFmpeg library, Chromaprint as a whole is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1. fpcalc

The fingerprints submitted to Dancebook are calculated with fpcalc, the command-line tool that comes with Chromaprint (version 1.5.1, built with FFmpeg to read audio files), by the applications that send them, such as RapidTagger. fpcalc is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1; the FFmpeg libraries it includes are licensed under the LGPL, version 2.1 or later. Source code: Chromaprint and FFmpeg. Dancebook never receives the audio itself, only the fingerprint.

AcoustID and MusicBrainz

Dancebook looks up recordings with the AcoustID web service and links them to MusicBrainz recordings. MusicBrainz data belongs to the MetaBrainz Foundation and its contributors and is used under its own licenses.
